A Tattoo apprentice position is an educational position not a compensated position.

We are training you to be a Tattoo Artist not hiring you as a Tattoo Artist.

We are not accepting applications from self taught tattooers currently practicing.

What you need to bring to the table

This is a tattoo course not an art course, you need to be able draw before you can tattoo.

An extensive art portfolio is a must!

You can have 2 different kinds of portfolios; one that has a variety of different subject matter and mediums

OR the other specializes in focusing and excelling in one style of medium.

Your portfolio should have +20 pieces of artwork.

Your Artwork should be at a professional level, if it is not we advise taking art classes from Artra or Grant Macewan and submitting your portfolio after completing these classes.

Advise:

We HIGHLY recommend avoiding tattoo schools. Their certification is not legally recognized, it is just a money grab and is negatively viewed by the tattoo industry. Reputable studios will not hire not hire anyone with a tattoo certificate because the courses are not long enough to teach proper hygiene or skills.

We encourage you to instead take art classes and create a professional portfolio which will set you up for a successful career off the bat.

How hiring works

When we have an apprentice position open up we will post on Instagram and open up a form on our website for every applicant to fill out.

We will look over each portfolio link and contact the best from the group for an in person interview. From there we will choose the best applicant for the position.

Currently we do not have an opening date but keep working on those portfolios, we can’t wait to see them!
